Well, it’s about time!!! We finally get our own day. I honestly think the notion is overdue, but I don’t decide these things. Friday 11/11/11 was National Metal Day, but it was also Veterans Day. The only beef I have with it is. Why put such an important day in our lives on a day that will overshadow us without trying? In other news we also had the announcement of the return of Metal fathers Black Sabbath. The original members of Sabbath announced on National Metal Day that they will be recording a new album!! All that happened was my jaw hit the floor and there was silence for almost an hour. SABBATH IS THE SHIT!!! You can’t be a metal fan and say you hate Sabbath, especially the original lineup. So, keep your horns up, because I’m shaking I’m so excited \m/

Lord Silky, Boil the Whore, Renewal of Faith, Blinded By Rage, and Filthy Minutes of Fame are the juggernauts that kicked our asses on the night of Sept. 3rd. Once the pits started going they were awesome. The people want Metal and we got it. All I’ve got to say is that we need more people to come out and support our little scene, it’s big, but we want it bigger. So lets get off your couches and buy some tickets and merch, so we can support these guys \m/!!!!! Keep the Metal flowing!!

Catatonic Deth Trup

Catatonic Deth Trup (troop) is the brain child band of Jakk Dredd. Jakk wanted a band that played metal like no one else and he noticed that the stuff he was playing wasn’t like anything he had ever heard before, so he was convinced that he could take everything that influences him and put it into a metal band. Thus Creating Catatonic Deth Trup. So far they are Jakk Dredd and George Reil. Jakk put out two guitar only demos. One is Personal Apokalypse, which is about someone who is fighting a losing war inside their head, which ends them up killing someone and Rise of the N.W.O. … warning to all, which is about a future where people are being controlled in a totalitarian dystopia a future that might end up being ours if something isn’t done to prevent this catastrophe.

Apathy Arising

Of all the bands in New York Apathy Arising stands alone with their brutal as an Abrams tank 
tearing the faces of their defenseless fans. 
Apathy Arising crave on thing and that is the most brutal band to ever show its ugly face. 
They are one of the most unique bands I have ever seen and one of  the most unique bands in the area. 
 I would say the scene, but they are in a scene of their own folks.
 Not many if any band has ever successfully mixed everything good with the Metal genre 
(Hardcore, Thrash, Speed, Death, Black, Punk Rock, Hard Rock, and every now and then an Outlaw Country song) 
because not many have ever had the balls to do it before now.
 Apathy Arising are just about to release a cd called Mutatis Mutandis coming out June 11, 
so pick it up and you’ll be impressed. \m/

BBR’s back!

After almost a year since their last show BBR played their best show yet when they opened for As I Lay Dying back in Feburary. Those of you Blinded By Rage fans out there heard that the band had to go on a hiatus for awhile to take care of some health issues and other stuff, but when they got on that stage it was like they had never stopped! Keep it up guys and Keep the Metal Flowing \m/!!!!!

NERGAL has Leukeimia

German Industrialists Rammstien are coming back to the US for the first time in almost a decade.They will be playing a one off concert at Madison Square Garden toward the end on December 11.

I’ve just been informed that Chris Rybicki a former bassist of Metal core greats Unearth has died today. Lets all take a moment of silence for this loss. I give my condolences to his family and friends. The entire music community should. He will be remembered by the Diehard Fans of Unearth. This has been a really sad year for Metal. Please Keep the Metal Flowing \m/ \m/

Trevor in critical condition

Trevor Rushford from Blinded By Rage is in the hospital. He was ambushed last tuesday, but is recovering. He was just minding his own business and these two guys just threw a branch in front of his truck and when he went to see why they did that they jumped him, grabbed him, and started beating him and throwing him into a fence. For what reason does it give the rite for someone to do this. THERE IS NO RITE, NOR WILL THERE EVER WILL BE!!!! Good luck Trevor!! They will pay for what they’ve done!!!
